Kazakh help Latinizacija! Q

Help, special characters! – Kazakh help Latinizacija! Q ©

A service from special characters help

● You can write Kazakh on a Cyrillic keyboard?

But you do not want to actively learn the new Latin script for Kazakh? (Or buy a new keyboard…)

Your solution: Latinizacija! Q

Just continue typing as usual in Cyrillic letters — the programme will transcribe them automatically into Latin letters.

Example: You type Қазақстан and the screen will show Qazaqstan.

You can switch between different spellings: spelling according to the presidential decree (2017), QazAqparat (pre-2017), and three experimental spellings.

Here you can find a detailed documentation: Manual_Latinizacija!_Q.pdf

And here is the program –- either as .exe or zipped as .zip or .7z, depending on your security settings.

For a limited amount of time, the program will be free!!!

The transcription function can be swichtched on/off by typing Windows+т.

Thereby you can quickly change between Cyrillic and Latin, e.g. when using Skype.

Tip: Copy the program to a USB key and use it abroad, e.g in a cyber café.

Only disadvantage: just for Windows (2000/XP/7/8/10) at this point. (I am working on a Mac version.)

Comments from satisfied customers:

“I am very impressed. The idea is really good”

“It worked; to see the » tails « is a treat!!”

“The special characters help is indeed a blessing! And functions so beautifully! Thanks, a real asset!”

“Congratulations on your idea! I am a Romanian- and Hungarian-sign user, and it is really quite tedious to work with inserting symbols. I immediately tried your software… and it works. Thank you so much for the workload easement…”

“Very good and actually long overdue idea! I am responsible for the OstNet database under the Virtual Library Eastern Europe, so I must constantly switch between keyboard layouts and can hence make very good use of your program.”

“Thank you for facilitating typing, great thing!”

“First of all thanks very much for the program! A whole generation of Slavonic students has been waiting for such a program.”

“I have been waiting a long time for this! ... It even works in E-mail applications. So — great thing! Many thanks again!”

“I want to give expression to my admiration for this great program! THANK YOU!! Have been often in the situation to be annoyed about the absence of such an application, although more likely in the environment of the Spanish ñ or vice versa in Spain the German umlauts.”

“I am looking for something just like that for a long time; it annoys me terribly that I can not write Polish letters on the PC, at least not quickly, but only with the symbol function of Word!”

“Congratulations for the successful program."

“I am excited about your Sibboleth programs that I got to know via the mailing list Slav-mail, where your JOE-mails also could be read. My work at my student job for computers at the Tübingen Slavic seminar will the tools surely facilitate, as I can skip installing additional keyboard drivers in most cases now.”

“Installation went actually by itself, and now I finally am able to do Czech special characters — works without problems, so far I am very happy :)))) I shall spread the word!”

A service from special characters help

● You can speak Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, or another language in Cyrillic script, and master the touch typing on a Latin keyboard?

● But when your business partners and friends from Eastern Europe expect an e-mail, writing it takes an eternity because of the Cyrillic keyboard layout (e.g. you can no longer see which character is on which key)?

Your solution: Kyrillizacija!

Just continue typing as usual in Latin letters — the programme will transcribe them automatically into Cyrillic letters.

Example: You type oblegchat' and the screen will show облегчать.

For all "hissing sounds" and extra characters there are easy-to-memorise key combinations:

ж  х   ч  ш  щ   ь ъ  э  ю я  ё …

zh kh ch sh shh ' ''  eh ju ja jo

The transcription function can be swichtched on/off by Windows+T.

Thereby you can quickly change between Latin and Cyrillic, e.g. when using Skype.

Tip: Copy the programme to a USB key and use it abroad, e.g in a cyber café.

Comments by satisfied customers (translated):

“Your programme flies! Until now I adapted the keyboard layout to Latin with some other programme, but yours is much better. Firstly it is much easier to install, secondly all Cyrillic characters are now accessible via the Latin keyboard, and thirdly you have also the Ukrainian characters included that I need all the time. Thank you and kudos from Kiew!”

“Your programme comes right on cue, as I am currently writing a Russian abstract of my diploma thesis and am not very familiar with the Cyrillic keyboard.”

“Continuing kudos for the creation of such a multilingual programme that saves you especially expenditure of time. The transition from one language to the next works simply wonderfully.”
